Hi Reader, I feel like I’m only just popping my head up from quite a difficult couple of months. If you’ve followed The Darling Tree since its early days, particularly on Instagram, you’ve probably seen our sweet dog Mambo appear from time to time. In August, we celebrated his 17th birthday, not really knowing how much time we would have left with him as his physical health and mobility declined. Considering we had some concerns back in January, he kept going in his usual stubbornly...

Hi Reader, In my last email, I mentioned the extra study thrown into the mix of my creative life, and consequently, I've had to try and improve my time management and planning. So I thought I'd share what I've been doing lately which you can read below. Thank you for being here. I hope you enjoy today's email 😊 Reclaiming time and attention 🌼 There is, of course, much discussion online about our attention and how certain companies aim to get and keep it. Taking back (some) control of our...

Hi Reader, Happy solstice! Whether it's the longest Summer or shortest Winter day of the year for you, I hope this current season is supporting you and offering what your mind and body needs. Where I live we usually have very mild winters, and this year if feels like a huge relief from the extreme humidity we had earlier this year and I'm enjoying breathing in the crisp air! Something I haven’t shared much about here, or online in general, is for the last couple of years I’ve gradually been...

Hi Reader, Happy lunar new year and year of the dragon! My good friend and Feng Shui master, Grace Niu, has shared, "We are experiencing the most significant astrological event in Feng Shui, which only happens every 20 years", as we've moved into Period 9 this month. If you're curious about harnessing the fire energy governing this period, you can catch the replays of Grace's Dragonfire and Create Magic in 2024 masterclasses or follow her on Instagram for regular tips and wisdom. I had a...

Hi Reader! It's my last email newsletter for 2023, and I want to share my gratitude and love for the continued support for my work and small business. I know it hasn't been an easy year for many people, and so much is happening in the world that also needs our attention and action. It's not lost on me that continuing to be able to design, create, and make art and having the freedom to do so in peace is not afforded to everyone and is something I deeply treasure. So thank you. Just a quick...

Hi Reader! How are you travelling as we head into the final month of the year? It can certainly be a mixed bag: wanting to finish up as much as possible, ready to take a break, thinking about plans for the new year, trying to avoid getting sick, etc. I hope you have some moments to slow down and rest between these active days. Maybe this will be your little reminder to take a few deep breaths or pop a time in your diary to take a break :) Here in The Darling Tree studio, I've been back in...

Hi Reader! There is so much I want to share with you, I'm excited to sit down to write this email finally. Further on, I talk about my new studio, some artwork for sale and spaces to work with me. But just quickly, I wanted to share that I am planning on making a new calendar again for 2024! I've begun creating the artwork, which will be created from original paintings this time which is really fun (previous designs used digital illustration and collage), and the twelve artworks will reflect...

Hi Reader! It's been a long while since sending out a newsletter, six months or so I think?! I hope that 2023 has been kind to you so far, it's certainly been interesting around here. After a full few months I have just returned from a 10-day camping trip in the Central Highlands of Queensland. Even though it's winter it was delightfully warm and a nice change to be in nature every day to recharge. My favourite place to visit was the Moss Garden in Carnarvon Gorge, it felt absolutely magical....
